Dr. Samuel Kayode Olamijulo writes
Respected Nigerian Compatriots at home and abroad, Greetings.
Please permit me to appeal to us all that we keep our current discussion
on President Yar'Adua's health sober , focussed and helpful.
It is very reasonable to request that now and in future, every Nigerian President should routinely, formally and effectively appoint the Nigerian Vice-President to Act in his place whenever he or she will not be able to perform
official Presidential duties. This is as the Nigerian Constitution directs and common sense dictates.
It is in the best interest of all that governance in Nigeria be seen to be an open stable orderly affair. Everything must be done that Nigeria be seen not only by Nigerians but the whole world to be clearly above the recent unfortunate predicarments of countries like Somalia, Afghanistan, Yougoslavia and others.
So Help Us God!
We all must continue to pray in faith for the President and our Dear Country but we must also always remember James 2:17 that says " So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless."
Thank you.
